New Features in SafePointe Weapons Detection

Home / New Features in SafePointe Weapons Detection

Using customer feedback, SafePointe weapons detection has made some improvements and included new features.

SafePointe provides weapons detection for high throughput facilities in a low-profile form factor. As part of SoundThinking’s continued commitment to improving our solutions and providing great customer service, we’ve built a new app with new features. These new features for SafePointe weapons detection improve efficiency and ease of use for new and existing SafePointe users.

Users will benefit from the improved workflows and the ability to manage alerts, share alerts, hear alerts, search by keywords, and use a single username and password to sign on. These new features, driven by customer feedback, were designed to enhance the user experience.

New Features

Flexible Workflow Management—With more flexible workflow management, you can efficiently organize alerts for your facilities, entrances, and lanes into logical groupings. These groupings can be easily saved and shared with security personnel, ensuring that the right alerts reach the right security officers at the right time and enhance your overall security management experience.

Single-column to double-column

Managing Alerts—Managing alerts is easier with new features that allow you to flag alerts to find them quickly when follow-up is needed. You can also opt to show only certain alerts of your choice, hiding other alert types at your discretion to focus on the alerts that matter to you most.

Alert Sharing—The SafePointe app includes alert sharing, which enables you to create links to alerts and quickly share alert images and videos with other SafePointe users. For example, https://safepointe.acme.com/533277972.

Voice Alerts—Voice alerts are an optional feature you can turn on. Voice alerts use a human voice to announce an alert, allowing security staff in the operations center to hear alerts they may miss on screen when multi-tasking across multiple screens.

Keyword Search— Another enhancement is the ability to quickly find alerts using the following keywords:

  • Threat level
  •  Facility, entrance, or lane
  • Alert ID
  • Day of the week

Single Sign-on— The SafePointe app improvements now support single sign-on, allowing users to sign in with their existing system username and password to gain access to SafePointe. This time-saving measure will enable users to quickly log on without needing multiple usernames and passwords.

Commitment to Innovation

These SafePointe app improvements will enable security teams to operate more efficiently and effectively. Multi-location monitoring, enhanced alerts, more search options, and ease of use help provide a better user experience and coordination among the security team.

SafePointe is committed to continued innovation and product growth based on the best user experience for customers. To learn more about SafePointe’s weapons detection, please contact us.
