Pueblo Chief of Police cites ShotSpotter success rates, receives funds for Real Time Crime Center

July 23, 2024

FOX31 Denver reported on the success of ShotSpotter technology in Pueblo, Colorado, as part of the city’s new Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). According to Pueblo Police Chief Chris Noeller, the ShotSpotter system has demonstrated a 97% accuracy rate over the past five months, detecting 676 shooting incidents. “We’ve been able to render life rendering aid to nine individuals who, believe it or not, nobody called us about, said Chief Noeller. “We have collected about 12-16 guns based off of ShotSpotter data. We have collected data or evidence in so many cases, I couldn’t give you the number.”
